Hello! My name is Tara Ford. I live in NYC and work as a Physician Assistant specializing in women's sexual health. I have been to Vietnam twice before, once with my father in 2000 and again with friends in 2012. I was deeply moved by the generosity and care shown to me by the Vietnamese people during both of my trips. After my last trip 4 years ago I vowed I would not return again simply as a tourist. I also vowed I wouldn't return without my father. My father served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968-69. I have been fascinated with Vietnam since I was a young girl and I'm thrilled to return this time to provide medical care to those in need. I am also thrilled that my father and mother will join me at the end of the mission in Saigon! We plan to travel around to the different areas where my father served. A trip like this is a dream come true for me and my family and I am grateful for the opportunity to be of service to the Vietnamese people throughout the country. I look forward to meeting everyone real soon!
